  • Appreciation for Dr Matshidiso Rebecca Moeti, outgoing Regional Director for Africa at the 156th Session of WHO Executive Board, 4 February 2025. The Executive Board takes place on 3–11 February 2025. The Executive Board is composed of 34 technically qualified members elected for three-year terms. The main functions of the Board are to implement the decisions and policies of the Health Assembly, and to advise and generally facilitate its work.   • Health workers put a blood pressure monitor around 24-year-old Mugabi's arm at Nakaseke General Hospital on 28 March 2024.  Mugabi is a type 1 diabetes patient. The hospital runs a non-communicable disease (NCD) clinic with support from PEN-Plus through the implementing partner Uganda Initiative for Integrated Management of Non-Communicable Diseases. The NCD clinic offers specialised medical services focused on sickle-cell disease, type 1 diabetes, asthma, rheumatic heart conditions and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.   • Neuro-VR: A VIRTU project at Region Hovedstaden, led by Senior Researcher Louise Glenthøj. This study explores VR therapy combined with neurofeedback to treat auditory hallucinations. Thirty participants will be randomly assigned to either 8 sessions of VR therapy or 8 sessions with added neurofeedback.  During the presentation, participants get a hands-on experience with the VR headphones used in the Neuro-VR study for treating auditory hallucinations.Neuro-VR: A VIRTU project at Region Hovedstaden, led by Senior Researcher Louise Glenthøj.
